“Chewy”
My name is Chewy (well earned when I was young). Welcome to my page. I am a Golden/Labrador Retriever mix. I was adopted in February 2001 from the Whatcom Humane Society in Bellingham, WA. I have been a member of the Standifird clan ever since then. Here is a bit more information about me:
- I was about 5 months old when adopted, which means I was born around September 1, 2000.
- I am a female and weight something in the 180 lbs range but I would prefer not to say for sure.
- I am very social with people and other dogs, unless of course you show up to the house uninvited. Then I’m forced to go into guard dog mode until either Mom or Dad tells me otherwise.
- I love to be trained and have tried to respond accordingly. I absolutely love to play fetch. It’s the returning part that I really struggle with.
- Walks and runs are the best. Off leash dog parks, even better.
- I love the attention and will take as much as I can get. Belly rubs, head pats, paws shakes, I love it all.
- The one thing I really miss being in San Diego is snow. I love the snow. I love playing in it, sleeping on it, chasing snow balls, etc. Fortunately, we do see some snow at the cabin in Arizona.
- In terms of food, I want whatever the humans are eating (PJ and I are quite similar on this dimension). And lots of it. It’s tough to tell what I really like since I generally like all people food (lettuce being perhaps the one exception). Totally love the meats – bison is perhaps my favorite (got a sample once when driving through South Dakota).
